Cute place! Cozy. We got Ruben sandwiches and they were actually really good. The sandwich was piled so high with goodness that I had to strategically attack it from the side. The pancake was pretty standard and tasty. I was pretty full from the sandwich eat much of it. The food was good, but it seemed pretty expensive. The portions were fair, but prices were higher compared to other places I've been recently. The service was good, it's was a walk up & order then find a table kind of place. Our food came out pretty quick, so no complaints there. Good coffee too!

First time. You can tell it's cooked in a marinated kitchen. The paan is full of flavor. The food is decent but not worth the price. I got this in my omelette. Also self service.

a bellevue staple! gilbert's is a lovely restaurant located in old belleuve with a lively interior. they serve breakfast and lunch, you order at the counter and seat yourself. we ordered the marion berry pancakes and the supreme omelette. portions are giant! i split the pancakes with a friend and we barely finished the entire meal. the omelette was also delicious and came with a bagel on the side. staff are very friendly and service was quick, we came on a friday at around 9am and were seated immediately. the one con is that while portions are huge, some items can be pretty pricey. the omelette was $27, and while it was definitely delicious, you may be able to find better value elsewhere. the pancakes were much cheaper at $19, and split between two people that comes to around $10 each! overall, i recommend giving gilbert's a try, i will definitely be back for lunch!

My absolute favorite brunch/lunch spot I've ever been to! I was in Bellevue for a wedding weekend and had to visit Gilbert's twice because there were so many things I wanted to try. The exceptional special is an incredible deal and the food/ambiance is top notch.

Did a brunch here on a Friday and got the bagel and lox plate with a side of eggs. You order at the counter and they bring it out; service was fine. All food was up to par; we sat outside on the sidewalk, and it's a nice place for people watching too.

I had the half Reuben (#9) Seattle style with the French onion soup. Both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. My wife had the half or 2-egg Florentine omelette with a cinnamon raisin bagel. She loved both and the portion was more than enough. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. We loved the feel of the restaurant and were glad they had children's books up on the windows. Will definitely come back whenever we are in the area!

"The Bad" - Service: Cold - Prices: Not Inexpensive The Good! - Service: If you been to NYC you'll understand what you're getting here. - Prices: You're paying for the location, ingredients, quality and quantity. - Food: Some of the best I've had and most likely some of the best around the area. - Vibe: VERY BUSY and seat yourself. If you're not a fan of the mall or getting to this area is a bit of a pain. Treat yourself to a visit here to ease some of the pain. If you're curious about this place I have no doubt you'll love it!

We came on a friday morning at about 9a for a breakfast with friends. The place was already bustling with people enjoying their food and drinks at the tables. We ordered at the counter, but had a prior reservation for the table. The menu options arw so plentiful and all sound delicious. We ordered french toast with homemade chicken sausage and a few specialty coffees. The total came out to $50 which for 2 people and a baby did not feel unreasonable. The food itself was delicious. The brioche french toast was light and fluffy and perfectly prepared and the homemade chicken sausage was flavorful and well seasoned and came with homemade applesauce. The portion was also great! We had our fill and plenty left over. The coffee was also good. For brewed coffee there is a nice station with all the additives and free refills and for the cappuccino the espresso was well made and they did the cutest coffee art. The ambiance itself was quaint and had a homey feel. It is very kid friendly as they provided high chairs and childrens books and had self seating as well. The waiters were all nice and very attentive. They answered questions and provided great service. Pricing seemed higher, but the portions are shareable which is something to keep in mind when deciding what to order. Parking was a little tricky. There is some street parking, but be prepared to search and walk since it is old town bellevue. Overall, good food with shareable portions and a very family friendly place for breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend the french toast. But we will be back to try their famous sandwiches!
